Little Langdale Limited Edition Print
High quality limited edition A4 art print of my original Little Langdale painting. 25 prints in total. I’m so happy with quality. Due to the textured paper, it looks just like the original painting.
The print comes mounted- The mount is off-white.
A4 print mount outer dimensions are 12x16”
The original painting was created using waterproof black ink, with artist-quality Schmincke watercolours.
All my printing is carried out by Cerberus Printing, an independent print and design company. Cerberus printing use a 10-colour Epson wide format printer with giclée technology to achieve exceptional image quality with enormously detailed sharpness, maximum black values and a very broad colour space.
Please allow up to 10 working days for despatch as some print design/sizes are made to order.
This iconic view of Little Langdale in the Lake District is not far from where I grew up. I have always liked how the one little red bush and how it always stood out from the others. The fell in the backdrop is solely watercolour; I tend to leave the ink outlines for the distance as I find this helps with recession and depth. I sometimes like to add a figure to my paintings, and in this case a little hiker. The idea is that it gives the scene a sense of life and hopefully some romanticism. The strong foreground shadow is a routinely used compositional technique; the viewer standing in the shade looking into the light. The granulation has been encouraged and is achieved by the pigment settling unevenly on the rough paper.
